Oklahoma City man arrested in slaying

The estranged husband of a woman found dead Saturday in the bedroom of her southwest Oklahoma City home was arrested Monday, police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

William M. Watson, 24, was being held without bail Tuesday in the Oklahoma County jail on a murder complaint, jail records show.

Cindy Lorine Watson, 27, and a female roommate went to a bar Friday night and received a ride home from a male friend, who left after they were safely home, according to a police report released Tuesday.

The roommate woke up about 9 a.m. Saturday to find Watson dead. She called police.

The state medical examiner has not ruled on a cause or manner of death, Wardlow said.

William Watson was accompanied by his uncle when he surrendered to Shawnee police on Monday, Shawnee police Detective Greg Gibson said.
