An Oklahoma City man was arrested Tuesday after a 15-year-old runaway told police the man tried to “pimp her” and have sex with her, police reported.

Police received a call Tuesday night from the mother of a 15-year-old girl who ran away from home on June 6. The mother told officers her daughter called and said she and another underage girl were being beaten by their “pimp” and wanted help.

Officers arrived about 10 p.m. at the River Chase apartments, 11239 N Pennsylvania Ave., and found the unidentified 15-year-old sitting outside.

Inside one of the apartments, police found Kevin Martin, 29, and an unidentified 16-year-old girl.

The 15-year-old told investigators she saw Martin take money from a man in order for the man to have sex with the 16-year-old.

Martin was arrested on multiple complaints, including harboring a runaway, indecent proposals with a child younger than 16 and offering to transport a child for prostitution. He was being held Wednesday in the Oklahoma County jail in lieu of $28,000 bail.
