An Oklahoma City man admitted to wearing diapers and drinking baby formula while pretending to be autistic at a baby sitter's house, a police detective testified Wednesday.

Mark Anthony Richardson Jr., 21, said in the Oct. 5 interview that he has never had a girlfriend, Detective Priscilla Helm said at a preliminary hearing on a sexual battery charge.

“His explanation for his behavior was his inability to have a relationship with females and he wanted to be close … to females,” she testified.

He wrote a letter of apology to the woman who changed his diapers and her daughter, the detective said.

He was charged with sexual battery — a felony — for allegedly groping the woman's daughter while she slept in September. The woman and her daughter did not talk to police about it until after they learned Richardson was faking.

The daughter, Cassandra McIlroy, 19, testified he grabbed her breast over her shirt. She said, since she thought he was autistic, she just told him, “No. Don't do that.” She said her mother, Tami Landers, said he didn't know what he was doing and she should go back to sleep.
