A judge sentenced a man Thursday to 10 years in prison and 10 years probation for twice breaking into homes while wearing women's clothing.

Gregory Adam Streater, 28, of Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty in August to first-degree burglary in two separate cases, records show.

Streater, dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit and wearing handcuffs, cried as he said goodbye to family members after being sentenced by Oklahoma County District Judge Kenneth C. Watson.

His attorney did not return calls for comment.

Streater was arrested in May after a southwest Oklahoma City resident told police a man broke into his house while wearing a light blue and light green women's swimsuit and fondled his leg.

The resident asked the man what he was doing in his house, and the intruder said he was “on something” and asked for a drink of water.

Police found Streater later in a nearby creek wearing the swimsuit.

In September 2010, Streater was arrested on a burglary complaint after a woman reported awakening to find a man, dressed in women's clothing, in her room.

Police found Streater behind bushes near the woman's Oklahoma City home. He was wearing a tight woman's shirt turned inside out, black capri pants and one black high-heeled shoe, according to a police report.

The victim told authorities she realized the man was her former son-in-law after she saw his car parked near her house.

She said one of the reasons her daughter divorced Streater was his fondness for wearing women's clothing.

Streater is facing burglary and drug charges in Cleveland County, where he has four cases pending, prosecutors said.

He was treated for mental illness in 1999 and 2009, court papers show. has disabled the comments for this article.
