Scouting

Jeremy C. Wright, 16, of Oklahoma City, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His Eagle project was Upward Bound team benches for soccer teams at First Baptist Church in Moore. He is a member of Troop 75, chartered by Westmoore Community Church. The son of Will and Cindy Wright, he is a junior at Westmoore High School and attends First Baptist church of Moore. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has won several honors as part of his high school marching band and wind ensemble.

Honors

Derek Nguyen, 17, was selected to attend the U.S. Constitutional Bill of Rights Academy the week of July 9-14 in Washington, D.C. The son of Dung and Nga Nguyen, of Oklahoma City, he was nominated by the YMCA of Oklahoma City to represent Oklahoma. Derek, a graduate of Westmoore High School, also attended the Conference on National Affairs in Asheville, N.C.

Libby Wuller, 17, of Stillwater, was selected to attend Girls Nation, representing Oklahoma from Girls State, July 21-28 in Washington, D.C. Libby also attended the YMCA Youth Governor's Conference in Washington in June and the Conference on National Affairs. A senior at Stillwater High School, she is the daughter of Thomas and Cristi Wuller.
