The foundation, incorporated in 1984, also provides educator grants to support educational opportunities for students beyond the normal classroom curriculum. Helen Ward, of Chickasha, provided seed money to ensure the foundation's future success.

SCOUTING

Bryan Knauff, 16, of Savannah, Ga., has earned his Eagle Scout. His father, James Knauff, is a native of Mustang, and his mother, Janelle Segler Knauff, is a native of Oklahoma City. Bryan's grandparents are Ed and Malinda Koonce and Troy and Billie Segler. Bryan attends Savannah Arts Academy and plays the saxophone, piano and guitar. His honor ceremony was at Chevis Oaks Baptist Church in Savannah. For his Eagle project, Bryan chose to repair and upgrade the Chevis Oaks Baptist Church playground and raised thousands of dollars to buy new playground equipment.
