3 win Camp Fire award

Four members of Camp Fire USA Heart of Oklahoma Council have recently earned the WoHeLo Award, the highest honor a Camp Fire USA member can achieve. WoHeLo is derived from the first letters of Work, Health, and Love and is representative of the values of Camp Fire USA. Recipients are Kensi Brown, a student at Midwest City High School; Kristen Miller and Rachel Wallace, students at Mustang High School; and Dustin Walker Schweer, a student at Perry High School.

Eagle Scout named

A metro-area Boy Scout recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Jacob Richards, 14, received the honor, the highest rank a Boy Scout can earn. For his Eagle Scout project, Richards built step-platforms for Northwood Elementary School, in Piedmont. The platforms are for the school's kindergarten and first-grade students for use with their smart boards. Richards is the son of Nathan and Angie Richards. He is active in Troop 385, which meets at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Surrey Hills.
