The graduates completed hundreds of hours of classroom training, defensive tactics training, firearms training, crime scene investigations, accident investigations, community policing, and cultural diversity training, according to a news release from Capt. Richard Stephens of the Logan County sheriff's office.

Parents to share addiction stories

The Edmond Chapter of Parents Helping Parents will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 4 at the Oklahoma Blood Institute's private meeting room at 33rd and Broadway Extension. Five parents will give a 10-minute story on a situation regarding their addicted children. They will share what they learned from their experience and what has provided their family with the greatest support in the journey of recovery.
