Church schedules dog show

St. Augustine's Episcopal Church is holding its Bone-a-Fide Dog Show and Pet Adoption event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 14700 N May. Pets will be available for adoption from several nonprofit rescue agencies. There will also be a dog show with awards presented in several categories. Entry fee is $10. Golf tourney raises $15,000 for D-DENT

Dentists for the Disabled and Elderly in Need of Treatment raised $15,000 during a June 4 tournament at Belmar Golf Club. Seventeen teams participated in the D-DENT event, with Heisman Trophy winner Steve Owens serving as honorary chairman. D-DENT mobilizes a network of dentists statewide to provide free care to those in need.

Wine tasting benefits YMCA programs

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City hosted its Taste of Culture event this week. The wine tasting raised $11,000 for the YMCA's international programs. The YMCA's international partnerships began in 1994 with programs in Brazil and Mexico and later expanded to Chile and the Czech Republic.

Iris society sets rhizome sale

— The Edmond Iris Society will hold a rhizome sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Farmer's Grain Co., 102 W 1st St. The Edmond Iris and Garden Society was established in 1925.
