Library will host bullying forum
Ralph Ellison Library will hold a bullying prevention forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 17. Therapists from Principles of Resilience Youth Development will conduct the forum. Community members can discuss what bullying is and how to prevent it.
Museum plans bluegrass workshop, concert
DEL CITY — The Greater Oklahoma Bluegrass Music Society will hold a workshop and concert Saturday at the Country-Western Museum and Hall of Fame, 3925 SE 29 in Del City. A fiddle workshop will be from 4 to 5 p.m. followed by a concert at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is $6. Kids 12 and younger get in free. For more information on the workshop, call 905-9660.
Foster parent training planned
Eagle Ridge Institute will host training for those interested in becoming a therapeutic foster parent for children who have been abused or neglected and are having a difficult time healing and coping with life circumstances. The first training session will be Jan. 19, and sessions will continue for eight weeks. For more information, call 463-7552 or go online to eagleridgeinstitute.com.
