Going to concerts this summer is as easy as taking a lawn chair or blanket to parks across the metro area.

And they're free.

Oklahoma City, Yukon, Edmond, Midwest City, Moore and Norman are offering summer concert series.

In Midwest City, orthodontist-turned-bluesman French Hickman, aka Doc Blue, brought his sunglasses, raspy expressive voice and his Doc Blues Revue to the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park for the Midwest Twilight Concert series on Thursday.

In Edmond, the band Souled Out rocked the crowd for the Outdoor Concerts in the Park with their showstopping music and gobs of talent.

Norman resident Maggie McClure kicked off the Summer Nights Music in the Park in Moore with a blend of original and cover songs.
