Oklahoma City metro prayer breakfast date, speaker set

The 31st annual CBMC Metro Prayer Breakast is set for April 15 at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City.

The 31st annual Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) Metro Prayer Breakfast is set for 6:30 a.m. April 15 in the Great Hall of the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens.

Guest speaker for this year’s breakfast is H. Wayne Huizenga Jr., president of Huizenga Holdings Inc., a diversified company that manages the Huizenga Family-owned private businesses and real estate. He also is chairman of the board of Rybovich, a super yacht marina and refit facility based in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Huizenga graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in business in 1985. He is a member of the board for the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association and founder and member of the board of directors for the Christian Community Foundation of South Florida. Huizenga also is a member of the advisory committee for Door of Hope Outreach Inc.

In January 2013, Florida Gov. Rick Scott appointed Huizenga to the board of governors of the Florida State University System for a term of seven years.

Huizenga and his wife, Fonda Hix, have four children and attend Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale.

The breakfast buffet will open at 6:30 a.m., and the program will be from 7 to 8:30 a.m.

Individual tickets are $30 each. Pacesetter, Leadership, Patron, Corporate and Host tables, for 10, also are available.
