by William Crum Published: April 21, 2014

Oklahoma City’s city manager, Jim Couch, has selected a new planning director and a new parks director.

Aubrey Hammontree, who has been with the city since 2000, is the new planning director.

Hammontree began her career as an associate planner and became assistant planning director in 2013. She was named interim director after Russell Claus stepped down to return to his native Australia.

The new parks director, Doug Kupper, is moving from Wichita, Kan., where he is parks and recreation director for the city of Wichita. He replaces Wendel Whisenhunt, who is retiring May 1.
