Oklahoma City police have identified two men who shot and killed themselves in separate incidents Monday.

Both men died before Oklahoma City police tactical team members could take them into custody.

Damien L. Eckstein, 25, of Moore

Police were called about 9:55 a.m. to assist other law enforcement agencies with a man who was threatening to commit suicide, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

A woman told police Eckstein was at the Sooner State Pawn Shop, 1009 SW 59, and was sending her text messages threatening to kill himself, according to the incident report.

The woman told officers Eckstein bought a shotgun and ammunition. Officers tracked Eckstein's cellphone to a church near SW 39 and S Pennsylvania Avenue. Officers called the tactical team to set up a perimeter.

When team members tried to make contact with Eckstein, they found him dead inside his vehicle, according to the report.

Saul Hernandez Biera, 29, of Oklahoma City

The second incident was reported about 11:50 a.m. A woman told police that her two daughters, a teenager and a preteen, had been raped, according to the incident report.

Officers went to the suspect's last known address at the 500 block of SW 28 and heard a gunshot while they were walking up to the front door, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.

The suspect was identified as Biera.
