Oklahoma City police identify woman found dead near Lake Overholser

The body of Karen Natalia De Leon, 22, of Oklahoma City, was found Saturday near Lake Overholser. Her mother reported her missing April 6, police said.

Police reported on Wednesday the woman found dead over the weekend near Lake Overholser was Karen Natalia De Leon, 22, of Oklahoma City.

De Leon's mother reported her missing April 6, according to a police report.

The state medical examiner has not yet determined a cause and manner of death, spokeswoman Amy Elliott said. The medical examiner's office lists the woman's last name as Cid-Deleon.

Her body was found about 10:30 a.m. Saturday when volunteers were cleaning a section of Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge in the 6900 block of N Morgan Road.

Elliott said her body was found in a drainage ditch.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.
