Oklahoma City police investigate burglary of Edmond school district campus

Video surveillance shows a man searching Edmond’s Summit Middle School and leaving with a small item, Oklahoma City police reported.

Oklahoma City police are investigating a break-in at Summit Middle School, 1703 NW 150.

The burglary at Summit, in the Edmond school district, occurred at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, according to a police report.

Oklahoma City police were dispatched at about 9:50 p.m. Broken glass on two entry doors on the southwest corner of the building was discovered.

No suspect was found after a building search.

When the principal arrived, the video surveillance was checked. It showed a white male searching the school and leaving with a small, unknown item. He was wearing blue jeans rolled at the bottom, a sleeveless green shirt and a red beanie, the police report stated.

Police fingerprinted areas seen on the video.

The intruder left the building at 9:51 p.m. through a cafeteria bay door, according to the report.
