Oklahoma City police officer involved in southwest Oklahoma City accident

An Oklahoma City police officer was driving to a call near SW 104 and Western Avenue when another vehicle cut the officer’s patrol car off, causing the officer’s car to hit a tree, a police spokesman said.

An Oklahoma City police officer has been taken to a hospital after his patrol car hit a tree in southwest Oklahoma City.

The officer was driving to a call near SW 104 and Western Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday when his patrol car was cut off by another vehicle, and the officer’s patrol car hit a tree, an Oklahoma City police spokesman said.

The other driver drove away from the scene but was caught up by other officers, he said.

The spokesman said he did not know the extent of the officer’s injuries.
