An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after she chased children and hit a teenager with a stick, Oklahoma City police reported Tuesday.

Lisa Marie Gutierrez, 47, was arrested on complaints of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her boyfriend, Solon Quinn Ramsey, 44, was arrested on a public drunk complaint.

Police were called about 11:55 p.m. Monday to 11915 SW 16 in reference to an assault, according to the police report.

Byron Hancock, 17, told police he saw a group of children being chased across the street by a woman with a wooden stick. Hancock said he went into the street and told the woman to stop, and she hit him with the stick. The area where he was hit was red, bruised and swollen, according to the report.

Officers received calls earlier in the day about the couple being too loud. They had been drinking and were having a cookout, according to the report.

When an officer asked Ramsey how much he had to drink, he replied, “Obviously too much.”

While Gutierrez and Ramsey were being booked into the Oklahoma County jail, she asked Ramsey why she was being arrested. Ramsey told her, “Because you hit that kid with a stick,” according to the report.
