An Oklahoma City woman who reported seeing imaginary people in her home was arrested after she kicked out a police car window while being taken into protective custody, police said Friday.

Tonya Mendoza, 47, was arrested about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday on a complaint of destroying property after she kicked out the back passenger window of a police car, according to a police report.

Police were called to 4012 Rancho Drive about a disturbance. Mendoza told police there were people in her house who refused to leave and one of them had a gun.

An officer went inside the house and found nobody else, despite Mendoza saying she saw people on the couch, behind the recliner and behind the china cabinet, according to the police report.

Police decided to take Mendoza to a crisis center and reported her husband, Raul Soria, asked them take her.

Mendoza became irate when she was placed in the back of the patrol car, screaming and kicking out a window, according to the report.

She told people walking by that she was being poisoned and raped by police. She then began to gag and foam at the mouth, police said.

An ambulance was called to check on Mendoza. She told a medic that she had ingested crystal meth, according to the report.

Mendoza was taken to the Oklahoma County jail and was released Friday morning.
