Police have identified the gunman they say killed one man and wounded another during a drug transaction in a northwest Oklahoma City parking lot.

They filed an arrest warrant Friday in Oklahoma County District Court for Davieon Smith, 19, who witnesses identified as the shooter.

Jonathan Charles Braggs, 19, of Edmond, was shot and killed about 7 p.m. Thursday at the Country Oaks Apartments 3101 NW 150, police said.

Johnathan Daniels, 20, of Oklahoma City, also was shot. Daniels was taken to a hospital and will be booked into the Oklahoma County jail on homicide and robbery complaints, police said.

Under state law, an accomplice can face homicide charges when someone is killed in the commission of a felony.

According to the arrest warrant, Braggs and a friend called Smith and arranged to buy marijuana from him Thursday in the apartment complex parking lot, but intended to grab the marijuana and run.

Braggs got into a car with Smith and a fight broke out, the friend told police.

As the friend approached the car, Smith fired a pistol and struck him several times. He told police he heard numerous gunshots as he fled.

Police interviewed another witness who was in the parking lot.

She told police she knew Smith and saw him fire several rounds at the man who fled and at the surrounding area, according to the warrant. has disabled the comments for this article.
