A man was gunned down Saturday in his yard in south Oklahoma City, police said.

Shots were fired from the driver's side of a white pickup with a blue stripe about 4:45 p.m. at 609 SE 33, police Lt. Kevin Parton said.

Two white women and a white man were in the truck as it traveled eastbound on SE 33, Parton said.

The victim was shot twice in the chest and once in the head, Parton said. He was taken to OU Medical Center, where he died.

Homicide detectives and members of the police department's gang unit are investigating, Parton said.

The victim has not been identified.
