Sportsmen can take part in drawings for waterfowl hunting spots at Overholser and Draper lakes.

The Oklahoma City Police Department sponsors annual drawings for hunting waterfowl from duck blinds at the two lakes.

The drawings will be:

• 8 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Lake Overholser pavilion, 1200 E Overholser Drive.

• 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at the marina, east of SE 104 and W Draper Drive.

Blind site locations and hunting regulations will be posted at each drawing site.

Hunting season begins in late October or early November, depending upon the hunting zones established by the state Department of Wildlife Conservation.

For information, go to http://www. wildlifedepartment.com/index.htm.

For details on the drawings, call the Lake Overholser patrol station at 789-3746 or the Lake Draper patrol station at 794-5010.

Hunters must be at least 18 and hold a current Oklahoma City hunting permit and a state hunting license to qualify for the drawing.
