Oklahoma City police wrongly report arrest in connection with kidnapping, rape of woman

Oklahoma City police wrongly reported a man was arrested in connection with the kidnapping, rape and beating of a woman over the weekend.

Lee Ernest Sanders Jr., 50, was questioned and released, not arrested as originally reported, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said Tuesday.

Another man was arrested in connection with the incident after officers found a naked woman injured and crying about 4:15 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of N Indiana Avenue. The victim told police she was picked up by three men in a car and was beaten and repeatedly raped.
