BETHANY — The Ivory House-an Event Place has opened at 3906 N Donald Ave., just south of NW 39 Expressway, in Bethany. Owners Tod and Lori Mosshart bought the 2,960-square-foot residential-style building, constructed in 1993, earlier this year. It formerly was a coffee house called Java Joint. The Ivory House can accommodate up to 125 guests for small weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, tea parties, bridal and baby showers, birthday and holiday parties or family reunions, business functions and other events. The space, which includes a patio, “has been transformed with an added elegance after interior renovations ... by Tod Mosshart,” The Ivory House said in a news release. “A certain charm and warm atmosphere has been created with Lori's amazing eye for interior design and decor. The couple's talents shine throughout in the special touches you'll find in this beautiful new venue.”

Key executives promoted

Doug Turner is now chief operating officer.
