Oklahoma City received federal stimulus money for projects, but costs remain
Almost $48.7 million in federal stimulus money wound up in Oklahoma City after Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act three years ago this month. And while most of the money went to infrastructure projects that require little further investment, some of the funds started projects that must be absorbed into the city budget if they are to continue.
