Oklahoma City RedHawks: Hawks close homestand with 5-2 win over Round Rock

The Oklahoma City RedHawks wrapped up the first homestand of the season Friday with a 5-2 Pacific Coast League baseball win over Round Rock before 5,143 fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Hawks (8-7) won three of five games on the homestand.


The Barons had five extra base hits, including triples from Trevor Crowe and Jonathan Villar. Crow finished with two RBIs. ... Round Rock had three hits from Jim Adduci.


Piggyback starters Jordan Lyles and C.J. Fick allowed a combined one run on six hits in six innings. Fick picked up his first win of the season. ... Josh Zeid threw 11/3 innings and picked up his first save. He struck out three.


Oklahoma City begins a four-game road trip to Albuquerque, the farm team of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Game time Saturday is 8:05 p.m. ... The RedHawks will have Wednesday off, before returning to the Brick to start an eight-game stand against New Orleans and Nashville.
