Averaging more than eight runs a game the Oklahoma City RedHawks swept a four-game series with Colorado Springs, capped by a 7-3 win Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Rapping out a combined 46 hits in the series, the RedHawks outscored the Sky Sox 33-13.

Colorado Springs scored three runs in the first in Tuesday’s series finale, but the RedHawks answered with a five-run first and tacked on two insurance runs in the third.

Matt Duffy stroked a two-run single and Carlos Perez added a two-run double as the RedHawks sent 10 hitters to the plate in the first. In the third, former OCU standout Ruben Sosa supplied an RBI single.

Alex White (2-4) picked up the win by notching a season-high six strikeouts in six innings. Recording the final four outs, Jason Stoffel recorded his 10th save.

After missing the entire 2013 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, White had his best outing the season, allowing three runs on five hits.

A former first-round pick by the Cleveland Indians in 2009, White owns a 5-13 record in the majors, all of his appearances coming with the Colorado Rockies.
