Oklahoma City and Omaha split a doubleheader Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The RedHawks (40-35) won the first game, 6-5, in 10 innings and Omaha (33-43) came back to win the second game, 4-3, as the RedHawks took a 2-1 lead in the series.
Brandon Laird doubled in the bottom of the 10th to score Jimmy Paredes and give the RedHawks the victory in the early game.
Laird finished the game 2 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs.
Josh Zeid (4-0) got the victory for Oklahoma City, pitching the top of the tenth inning and allowing one hit.
Brad Peacock started for OKC, giving up two earned runs in six innings while walking six and striking out one.
In Game 2, pitcher Brady Rodgers made his Triple-A debut for the RedHawks, allowing one run on five hits and striking out four in five innings. Rhiner Cruz (0-1) ended up with the loss, allowing one run on two hits in the final 1 1/3 innings.
Oklahoma City's Robbie Grossman went 2 for 4 with two RBI in the late game.
Oklahoma City's six-game homestand against Omaha continues at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. RHP Philip Humber (0-2, 5.73 ERA) is expected to start for the RedHawks, while LHP Everett Teaford (2-2, 2.79) will take the mount for the Storm Chasers.
