Oklahoma City Rescue Mission's project supplies knowledge, nutrition
A tranquil plot of land bearing fresh vegetables, herbs and colorful flowers is surrounded by the concrete-and-steel structure that houses families who call the City Rescue Mission home. The Garden of Hope is adjacent to a noisy portion of Interstate 40, with big rigs and cars whizzing by constantly.
Just an idea one year ago, the garden already is providing food for clients participating in the Bridge to Life program...
