The older brother, whose name was not released, told police this wasn't the first time the teen had threatened him at gunpoint, and he was tired of it so he called police. Battle's mother told police there have been ongoing problems with the 13-year-old.

Police found a loaded homemade wood-stock shotgun leaning up against the back bedroom wall next to Battle's bed.

He was taken to the Berry House, where officials told police there was a warrant for Battle's arrest for failure to appear in court involving a separate case of pointing a firearm.
