Mustafa Shakur

Age: 29

Position: Point guard

Comment: Shakur is currently playing for the Thunder-owned Tulsa 66ers, where he’s averaging 19.9 points and 6.9 assists. He also spent time with the Thunder on 10-day contracts during the 2009-10 season despite never playing in a game. But there’s a strong familiarity there.

Reggie Williams

Age: 27

Position: Small forward/shooting guard

Comment: Williams also is playing for the 66ers, where he’s leading the team in scoring at 20.6 points per game while averaging 5.3 rebounds and five assists. He’s a sharpshooter who has made 37.1 percent of his 3-point tries in the NBA. So he could step in as an ideal shooting specialist.

Royal Ivey

Age: 32

Position: Point guard/shooting guard

Comment: Ivey turned down a second 10-day contract with the Thunder in January to take a more lucrative offer in China. But don’t rule out a return for Ivey when his season ends overseas. He was a familiar face who was great for chemistry, and the Thunder went 7-0 with him on the roster.

Solomon Jones

Age: 29

Position: Power forward/center

Comment: He’s a journeyman who played for six teams in his nine seasons, most recently appearing in 11 games with Orlando this season. With career averages of three points and 2.3 rebounds, he won’t provide much in the way of on-court production. But he’s a big body who could help fill the void left by Kendrick Perkins’ six-week absence.

Quentin Richardson

Age: 33

Position: Small forward

Comment: His best days are long behind him, but he’s a career 35.5 percent 3-point shooter and might have something left in the tank there. It’s not out of the question that the Thunder might try to find out with a low-risk, 10-day contract offer.

Terrel Harris

Age: 26

Position: Shooting guard

Comment: The former Oklahoma State standout got great experience, championship experience, with Miami in 2012 and a part of last season. But on the Thunder, he’d like be nothing more than a practice player.

Nolan Smith

Age: 25

Position: Point guard

Comment: The former Duke guard played in the Croatian League this season after a two-year stint with Portland and time in the D-League. He’s the son of the late Derek Smith, who was a friend of Thunder coach Scott Brooks. So that relationship could lead to something in OKC.

Roger Mason Jr.

Age: 33

Position: Shooting guard

Comment: He was traded from Miami to Sacramento at the trading deadline and let go by the Kings. But he has a real strength in perimeter shooting that could intrigue OKC. As a career 38.3 percent 3-point shooter, there aren’t many perimeter threats better than Mason available.

Sam Young

Age: 28

Position: Small forward

Comment: Young is competing in Australia this season but will be free from his overseas obligations later this month. A former early second-round pick out of Pittsburgh, Young could add more defensive tenacity and length to an already athletic roster.
