We
’re not naïve to economic challenges, but we feel we put a great product on the floor and are doing everything possible to be customer friendly.”

At more than 90 percent, Phoenix traditionally has been among league leaders in season-ticket renewals. Not anymore. The Suns are expected to have only a 70 percent renewal due to the economy and rumors the team might rebuild.

In contrast, the Thunder is developing a solid fan base. Based on renewal rates and new season-ticket holders, the Ford Center once again will be close to capacity for all 41 home games.

"It’s been real positive,” Byrnes said. "Our philosophy hasn’t change. That’s why we’re holding back inventory for fans that don’t buy season tickets. We want to continue to grow our fan base.”

→Renewal rate of 80 to 85 percent ranks in top half of NBA

→Season ticket holders can change seat locations June 8-12

→Mini packs, single game and group sales still offered

→Thunder officials already have sold 500 new season tickets

→Out-of-market fans (Tulsa, Lawton) prefer mini packs

→People on the waiting list can upgrade seats on June 12

→Ford Center capacity will decrease by 600 seats (18,600)
