Oklahoma City Thunder: Inside Memphis' turnaround from Game 1 to 2

GRIZZLIES 99, THUNDER 93 — Memphis' turnaround from the first to second game in this series was so startling, it's surprising the Thunder led late in Tuesday night's contest.

All the Memphis Grizzlies wanted after Game 1 was a second chance, and that's precisely what every Game 2 provides.

The Grizzlies took full advantage and parlayed 23 second-chance points into a 99-93 victory over the Thunder on Tuesday night to even this best-of-7 series at 1.

In addition to being outscored by 17 in second-chance points, OKC was outscored 29-10 off turnovers.

In Game 1, Memphis opened a door of opportunity for the Thunder and was outscored 29-18 in the final period in a 93-91 loss.

In Game 2, it was OKC that opened the door for the Grizzlies and was outscored 30-19 in the final quarter.

Leading the fourth-quarter surge for Memphis was point guard Mike Conley, who had 13 points (5 for 6 from the field) and seven rebounds in the final period alone.

He finished with a team-high 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Compared to Game 1, Memphis did just about everything better in Game 2.

The Grizzlies' improvement from Game 1 to Game 2 was easily detected. In fact, it's somewhat shocking the Thunder actually led up until the 1:58 mark of the fourth quarter:
