Thunder Rumblings

Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant plays in sleeves; why can’t LeBron James?

He’s the best basketball player in the world. He’s pretty much unstoppable. So, why should sleeves bother LeBron James?

They don’t seem to bother Kevin Durant.

James complained about the Miami Heat’s sleeved jerseys following a 111-87 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, saying that the sleeves bother his jump shot. James shot just 6-of-18 and committed five turnovers in the loss.

When Durant was asked about sleeved jerseys, however, he had this to say, as reported by our Darnell Mayberry:

In two games this season while wearing sleeves, Durant has been his usual Durant self, shooting 56 percent from the field. Granted, one of those games was the All-Star game, but sleeves clearly don’t negatively affect KD.

In James’ defense, he’s not the first player to gripe about the sleeved jerseys. Remember Beno Udrih vs. the Thunder?

Maybe LeBron should roll them up Udrih style.
