Former OKC guard James Harden and his Houston Rockets teammate said they did not feel the play that has sidelined Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook with a right knee injury was a “dirty” play in any way.
Rockets guard Patrick Beverley collided with Westbrook as he was calling for a timeout midway through the second quarter.
“Sad, sad story,” Harden told the Houston Chronicle. “Russell's one of my friends. To see him out injured when he hasn't missed a game his whole career, I'm sorry to hear that.”
According to Bovada sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley in Las Vegas, the Thunder has dropped to being a co-favorite to win the Western Conference title and advance to the NBA Finals following the knee injury suffered by point guard Russell Westbrook.
OKC and the San Antonio Spurs are now 3/2 favorites to win the West.
“Since we have re-opened our updated championship odds, we have not seen a bet on the Thunder and their price may drift even further if that continues,” Bradley said in a release Friday night.
