/> "We missed some shots down the stretch after they went to that zone,” said Thunder coach Scott Brooks. "I told the guys during timeouts, ‘If you’re open you’re going to have to shoot it.’ You can’t worry about missing. We will work on that and get better.”

Malik Rose, acquired in a trade with New York last week for Chris Wilcox, played well in his Thunder debut. Rose played 14 minutes. His biggest impact was on the defensive end. Dallas shot only 44.7 percent.

"I really only know his game from afar,” Brooks said. "Watching him play for 13 years, I’ve admired his effort and energy. He impacts the game in an intangible way.”

Joe Smith reiterated before the game he hasn’t heard anything about having his contract bought out to join another team. Sunday is the deadline for being on a roster and still be playoff eligible. Smith is with the team but did not play Friday. ... Thabo Sefolosha made his second consecutive start. Sefolosha’s main assignment was Josh Howard, who entered the game averaging 22.2 the past five games but was held to 13 points on 6-of-17 shooting.
