Grant Jerrett is yet to play an NBA minute, but the Thunder has apparently seen enough from the second-year player to lock him down for the foreseeable future.

Jerrett agreed to terms with OKC on a “multi-year deal,” according to Real GM. Terms of the agreement are not known at this time.

The Thunder originally received Jerrett in a draft night trade in 2013. But the second-round pick (40th overall) spent most of last season with the Tulsa 66ers, where he averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds.

OKC, though, signed him in early April, giving him a spot on the roster for the stretch run. Jerrett didn’t appear in a game, but practiced with the team throughout the playoffs.

He recently had ankle surgery, which is expected to knock him out for 4-6 months. But the Thunder believes Jerrett has a chance to be an effective stretch four in the NBA, a position that continues to grown in importance. Jerrett is a 6-foot-10, 21-year-old perimeter shooter.
