Oklahoma City Thunder: Steven Adams' season by the numbers

A closer look at Thunder rookie Steven Adams’ numbers.
by Anthony Slater Published: June 14, 2014

99: Games played by Steven Adams this year, including the postseason, leading all rookies. The next closest first-year player — Charlotte’s Cody Zeller — appeared in 86. Adams only received a DNP twice.

3.48: Blocks per 48 minutes in the postseason, trailing only DeAndre Jordan (3.58) among players who appeared in at least nine games. Serge Ibaka averaged 3.47. Adams had 24 blocks in 18 games.

2: Double-doubles for Adams during his rookie season — an eye-opening 17-point, 10-rebound performance in early November in Detroit and a 10-point, 11-rebound line in a Game 6 closeout over the Clippers.

3: Foul outs for Adams this year, all coming, strangely, during three consecutive games in mid-January. He became the first player in three seasons to foul out in three straight games.

142: Offensive rebounds for Adams this season, most among rookies.

35: Percent foul shooter in the playoffs, making only eight of his 23 attempts. He was at 58 in the regular season, but it still remains maybe the biggest area of his game that must improve.
