How can you pick just five of Kevin Durant’s greatest games from his greatest season?

It’s kind of impossible, but I picked my personal favorites from the bunch. Feel free to chime in at the bottom, because I know everyone will have his/her opinion on the best KD performances from his MVP season.

(NOTE: Only regular season games apply).

5. Triple-double into rarified Air: Thunder vs. Timberwolves, Dec. 1, 2013 – Durant logged his first triple-double of the season with 32 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds AND he added four blocks and four steals in the Thunder’s come-from-behind 113-103 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Slater was there as KD joined Michael Jordan as one of only two players to ever record a 30-10-10-4-4 game.

4. Soaring over Hawks: Thunder vs. Hawks, Jan. 27, 2014: Tied 109-109 in the closing seconds, Durant drains a mid-range jumper over three Atlanta Hawks defenders with 1.5 seconds left to give the Thunder the 111-109 win. Durant had 41 points, four boards and five assists, and finished 5-of-7 from three to lead the Thunder back from a 14-point halftime deficit.

3. KD vs. King James, Thunder at Heat, Jan. 29, 2014: Durant announced he was coming for LeBron James’ crown with a masterful performance against the Miami Heat, leading the Thunder back from a 22-4 first-quarter hole for the 112-95 win. In the most anticipated game of the new year to that point, Durant had 33 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the road win (all without Russell Westbrook) and announced to the league that he was officially taking over the MVP race.

2. Studio 54: Thunder vs. Warriors, Jan. 17, 2014 – “Durant’s finest offensive night as a pro,” said Berry Tramel. Who can argue? A career-high 54 points to go along with four rebounds and six assists in a 127-121 win. He shot 68 percent from the floor (19-of-28) and hit five 3s.

1. Raptor Reaper: Thunder at Raptors, March 21, 2014 – The definitive Durant dagger game. Durant went across the border and logged 51 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, including the game-winning dagger 3 with 1.7 seconds left in a 119-118 double overtime win in Toronto. Oh, and Russell Westbrook tweaked his knee in the third quarter, leaving Durant to carry the heavy load down the stretch.

This one was so good, teammates signed the game ball and Durant got Jesus comparisons.

“That was the craziest game I’ve ever been a part of,” Durant said afterward.

And the best of his MVP season.
