Oklahoma City Thunder: What they're saying about OKC's Game 2 victory over the Clippers

Thunder coach Scott Brooks: “We wanted to come out and play better. That was our first line of adjustments. We wanted to play a better basketball game and we did that. We have a prideful group of guys and we didn’t like the way we executed last game. We rectified that by playing much better. Our execution was better. Our energy was better. We were connected to one another for 48 minutes.”

Clippers point guard Chris Paul on going home with the series tied 1-1: “I think we came in with the right mindset. We played hard. We’re going to need our crowd, our fan support going home for Game 3. It’s going to be a big game for us. We need to come out and have a big-time game with some great energy.”

Clippers coach Doc Rivers on the combined impact of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook: “They’re both very good players. I still believe, that’s only 63 points. You can still win a game. We’ve beaten them before when they’ve both had great games. I didn’t like how they scored, it was too easy. I just thought we had too many mental, defensive breakdowns.”

Thunder superstar Kevin Durant: “We gotta stick together, continue to move the ball and play as hard as we can.”

Brooks on his technical: “I’ve got to control my emotions. There’s no question I’ve got to do a better job with that. It’s a competitive game, not just for the players. It’s part of the game. We move on, go to the next game now.”

Paul on his technical, called while he was on the bench: “Man. I don’t know. I don’t know, man. Did you see it? What did you get from it? I’m going to save my money, man. He already took $2,000 with the tech.”
