The Oklahoman asked for reader submissions on who should be the next Thunder TV color analyst. Here were some of the responses:

Derek Melton (@d_rok20) via Twitter: “How about @JRsBBQ (Jim Ross) him and Brian Davis would be awesome.”

Brian Lowry (via Facebook): “Kurt Thomas. He's buddies with Nick Collison from the Seattle days and still has a good feel for the league since he retired recently. I doubt Desmond Mason wants to give up on all the work he's put into his art, but you never know.”

Rachel (@Rach585) via Twitter: “It should be @dmasonart (Desmond Mason)! A perfect fit for the broadcast team.”

Bob Luetkemeyer via email: “I think Jenni Carlson would be GREAT as the next Thunder analyst!”

Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) via Twitter: “@NewsOKSports looking for @okcthunder TV analyst candidates. Hmm. Any ideas folks? BTW...OL JR's a hoops guy. Just saying. :).”

Ken and Kim Wright via email: “What’s wrong with Nancy Lieberman ?”

Matt Merritt (@tmtmatt) via Twitter: “@dmasonart should be. If not, they should resign him and get him back on the court!!”

Anil Kilpadikar via email: “I think Mo Cheeks (our former Asst. Coach) would make a great analyst. The players would also like him back as he has always been a great support for them and for our city and state.”

Clifford Smith (@CESmith0770) via Twitter: “@JenniCarlson_OK (Oklahoman columnist Jenni Carlson) deserves some consideration for the @okcthunder TV gig. It would mess up your schedule, but #themsthebreaks.”

Joe Wyant (@jwyant8806) via Twitter: “JR let us know what we have to do to get you announcing for the Thunder. You’d be the perfect fit. @okcthunder.”
