“I thank God for the opportunity,” Rose said. “I loved my time in New York. I had a great time there, great teammates, great friends. But I just thank God (general manager) Sam (Presti) came and got me out of there and brought me to Oklahoma City and gave me an opportunity to play. Right now I'm just making the most of it.”
Westbrook struggled with Denver's altitude
Rookie guard Russell Westbrook, playing for the first time in Denver's high altitude Wednesday, said he felt a big difference during the game.
“It was a little hard to breath for the first couple of minutes,” Westbrook said. “You kind of got to catch your wind fast before you can get used to it. You sit out for a little bit and then come right back in you still feel it a little bit. It's nothing you can really do to try to get around it. You just got to go out there and keep playing.”
