Reports from the officers who went inside the house, a police lieutenant and the watch commander, are considered supplemental and are not public record, Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Monday.

Authorities have said Teddy Mitchell is a poker player and a sports bookie. One of his sons who asked not to be identified said Teddy Mitchell was out of town when the body was found.

Wardlow confirmed Friday that an anonymous letter with details about Julie Mitchell's death was given to some media outlets. Wardlow asked that the details of the letter not be released to the public.

Police seized computer equipment from the house and will examine it for clues about the death, Wardlow said.

A paid obituary that ran in the Monday edition of The Oklahoman said Mitchell was an All-American cheerleader and Catholic high school graduate from Boca Raton, Fla. She competed in track at the Junior Olympics before graduating from the University of Southern California with a business degree in 1998.

Julie Mitchell was married to Teddy Mitchell in 2005 and their daughter was born in September 2009, according to the obituary.

"In becoming a mother, she fulfilled her life's ambition and the past year was the most precious and blessed time of her life," the obituary read.

"Julie was high-spirited and will be remembered not only for her outer beauty but more for her caring soul, strong hugs, infectious smile and ability to make everyone around her feel loved and appreciated," her family wrote in the obituary.
