An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after her boyfriend told police she tried to set him on fire and stab him with scissors.
Chrissy Johnson, 32, was arrested on complaints of arson and domestic abuse with a dangerous weapon, according to a police report released Thursday.
Police were called about 10:32 p.m. Monday to a home in the 1100 block of NW 7. The caller said his girlfriend doused him with lighter fluid and tried to stab him with scissors. He told police he wrestled the scissors away from her, but she was cut in the struggle.
The man locked himself in a bedroom while the woman fled the house, according to the report.
A second caller, who lives about one block away, reported a woman was bleeding and standing on the front porch, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.
Johnson was taken to St. Anthony Hospital for a gash on her forearm. After being treated, Johnson was taken to the Oklahoma County jail early Tuesday. She was released Thursday morning on $1,500 bail.
Her boyfriend told police he and Johnson had been dating for six weeks and living together for a month. When Johnson came home Monday night, she hit him with a broom and then got a can of butane and cut the top off with a pair of scissors, he said.
The man told police Johnson said, “I'm going to burn you,” and tried to pour the lighter fluid on him.
Officers reported they could smell butane when they entered the home.
The man told police Johnson lunged at him with the scissors. The couple struggled with the scissors before the boyfriend ran to the back bedroom and called 911, he said.
The police found a broom, can of butane, bloody scissors and a single burned match on the floor, according to the report.
Johnson was convicted of four felonies in 2009, three of them drug-related.
