Oklahoma City woman dies in Pennsylvania vehicle accident

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — An Oklahoma City woman died and her two children were injured Thursday morning in a van accident near here, authorities said.

Eun Ju Lee, 36, died at the scene.

Lee was thrown from the 12-passenger van when it slammed into a guardrail and a bridge about 9:30 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 15 near Gettysburg. Her children — Michele Gabam, 8, and Joy Gayoung, 9, were taken separate hospitals.

The other nine victims were treated and released from a Gettysburg hospital.

Police say the van may have swerved to avoid striking a deer.

The group of friends was traveling from Virginia to New York on a weeklong sightseeing trip along the East Coast.
