A story by a metro-area author is featured in the romance-themed “Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Dating Game.”

Released by Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing, the book includes 101 stories about looking for love and finding fairy-tale romance.

In Christy Johnson's story called “Male Order,” she tells of her first date — a blind date — at an ice-skating rink.

Johnson, an Oklahoma City inspirational speaker and life coach, shares the humorous tale of her meeting with now-husband John. The couple wed at the same ice skating rink.

From bad dates to great dates, blind dates to old friends turning into more, online dating to chance meetings and everything in between, the collection is designed to make readers laugh, feel hope and remind them why they love the one they're with, the publishers said in a news release.

With more than 100 million books sold in the United States and Canada alone, more than 250 titles, and translations into more than 40 languages, “Chicken Soup for the Soul” has become one of the world's best-known phrases, the release said.
