Oklahoma City's deferred maintenance

I'm proud of and love Oklahoma City. This city has made tremendous strides. City leaders and planners deserve a standing ovation. I do have a challenge for our leaders, however. Drive from Will Rogers World Airport out Interstate 44 to Remington Park. On this drive, feel the road. Is it nice and smooth or are you busy trying to dodge potholes? Look out the windows. Are the bridges you pass under rusty and ugly? Do weeds grow up through the cracks?

If this is what you find, would you not agree that maybe we shouldn't purchase something new, but start taking care of what we already have?
