Oklahoma colleges offer programs to train linemen, technicians - careers in demand

Oklahoma colleges are drawing students who want jobs that involve power — and lots of it — high-level work spaces and good pay.

Power companies such as Oklahoma Gas and Electric are scrambling for utility linemen and power plant technicians to keep up with new projects, Mother Nature and a retiring baby boomer work force.
