Church group gives awards
Several members of the metro area community received awards at the recent Oklahoma Conference of Churches dinner.
The Rev. Bruce Prescott, executive director of Mainstream Oklahoma Baptists, received the organization's Floyd M. Schoenhals Distinguished Ecumenist Award.
Carla Hinton, Religion Editor at The Oklahoman, received the conference's Excellence in Religious Journalism Award.
