Oklahoma Congressman targeted as 'liberal Republican' by conservative group

WASHINGTON -- Third District Congressman Frank Lucas has been targeted as a "liberal Republican" by the conservative organization Club for Growth.

Lucas is chairman of the House Agriculture Committee and the senior member of Oklahoma's House delegation. Club for Growth has in the past has called for ending or drastically scaling back many of the programs administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including food stamps, school lunch programs and farm supports.
